City To Host Reception At Greystone In Honor Of ‘The Great House’

Members of the Beverly Hills City Council are inviting residents to a cocktail reception at Greystone estate in celebration of the upcoming “Veranda Presents ‘The Great House’ At Historic Greystone Estate,” from 6 to 9 p.m., today.

The cocktail reception will include a preview of the The Great House presented by Veranda magazine, featuring top interior and landscape designers who have restored and transformed the Greystone mansion and grounds.

Attendees will receive hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and musical entertainment, and receive a gift bag, which includes one return ticket compliments of the City of Beverly Hills.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person. Advance purchases are required and valet parking is included. Guests can also participate in the opportunity drawing co-sponsored by Friends of Greystone to benefit the mansion’s restoration.

Sponsored in partnership with the City, Friends of Greystone and Veranda, “The Great House” will open its doors to guests for two weeks of tours and events beginning Nov. 1, which will include a designer lecture series and garden party.

The first lecture will be Saturday with interior designer and event honorary chairwoman Ann Getty.

Other designers whose work is on display at the estate include: Stephen Block, Tim Clarke, Elizabeth Dinkel, Peter Dunham, William R. Eubanks and D. Mitchell Brown and Waldo Fernandez.

All proceeds from the tours support the Friends of Greystone, a community volunteer organization created to preserve, protect and enhance Greystone mansion and park.

This event is sponsored locally by Benjamin Moore Paints, Dacor, Brooks Brothers, Rodeo Drive Committee, and media partners Luxe, Beverly Hills Design & Life and The Courier.
