L.A. Lakers attempt to defeat Golden State for 10th consecutive time
The Los Angeles Lakers will try to defeat Golden State for the 10th consecutive time when they play host to the Warriors tonight at Staples Center.
The Lakers last lost to the Warriors on March 23, 2008, one of Golden State’s two victories against the Lakers at Staples Center in 22 games.
Both teams are 2-0. The Lakers have started a season 3-0 twice in the last six seasons.
This is the first time since the 1994-95 season the Warriors have started a season 2-0.
Golden State starting guard Stephen Curry will miss the game because of a sprained right ankle suffered in Friday’s 109-91 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.“
