At the end of 1999, Dr. Matthew Finerman received a special invitation to merge his medical practice with the renowned Otosurgical Medical Group in Century City. This was no small honor as Otosurgical is among the premiere medical practices in the L.A. area.
After World War II, Drs. Victor Goodhill, Seymour Brockman and Irwin Harris merged their practices to form the Otosurgical Medical Group. Otosurgical specializes in ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) and head and neck surgery. Since then, Otosurgical has treated generations of Angelenos. Dr. Finerman was proud to merge his practice with Otosurgical and continue the tradition of service and excellence established by the founders.
Dr. Matthew Finerman is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist, more commonly known as an ENT. Otolaryngologists treat the diseases of the ears, nose and throat, dizziness, hearing problems, swallowing disorders, snoring and sleep apnea. They are also trained in the medical and surgical treatment of head and neck tumors, particularly those of the thyroid and salivary glands.
Dr. Finerman enjoys practicing adult and pediatric ENT. With an interest in allergy and sinus disorders, Finerman is experienced in endoscopic sinus surgery including computer-image-guided techniques and balloon sinuplasty. Dr. Finerman also treats obstructive sleep apnea with techniques such as the Somnus and Pillar implant procedures. Dr. Finerman helps patients with hoarseness and other voice disorders.
Dr. Finerman’s roots are in Southern California and Beverly Hills in particular. Dr. Finerman is a lifelong resident of Beverly Hills. Medical school took him back east to Chicago and Loyola University, but he returned to UCLA for his residency and training. More locally, El Rodeo and Beverly Hills High School can also boast of him as an alumnus.
His ties to the City run deep. Dr. Finerman’s mother, Muriel Finerman, served as PTA Council President and El Rodeo PTA President. His father, Dr. Wilmore Finerman was den leader of Pack 33. Both parents were involved with the Municipal League and Dr. Finer-man’s grandmother, Marion Wesinstein, was founder of Beverly Hills Meals on Wheels. Dr. Michel Babajanian
Dr. Michel Babajanian always knew he wanted to be an Otolaryngologist, but he wanted more than that. His passion was surgery and he wanted to be on the forefront of medical and surgical technology. When he was invited to join the Otosurgical Medical Group in 1993, he knew it was a perfect fit. He would be following in the footsteps of the Otosurgical Founders, Dr. Victor Goodhill, Dr. Seymour Brockman and Dr. Irwin Harris, pioneers in the development of stapes surgery.
Dr. Babajanian is a Board Certified Otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with honors from New York University in 1984. While at NYU, Dr. Babajanian was elected to Phi Beta Kappa honors society as a lifetime member. He completed his medical education at UCLA School of Medicine in 1988. At UCLA he was elected for lifetime membership at Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. For his internship and residency he again headed back east to Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, under the supervision and direct mentorship of the leading head and neck surgeons at Mount Sinai. In 1993, Dr. Babajanian and his wife returned to Los Angeles where they have made their home ever since.

Thanks to Dr. Babajanian’s background in plastic and reconstructive surgical techniques, his surgeries have resulted in the smallest incisions and least visible surgical scars possible.
In addition, Dr. Babajanian’s office is equipped with cutting edge modalities for the evaluation and treatment of hearing and balance problems and the entire gamut of non-invasive diagnostic testing, and a CT scan for accurate and high-resolution imaging of paranasal sinuses and the nose. Evaluation of disease of the nasal passages, throat and voice box is performed using in-office state of the art fiberoptic endoscopic equipment.
