Two Men Stabbed In Orange County Neighborhood
Two men were stabbed and required emergency surgery following a Sunday night fight with up to 15 suspects in an unincorporated Orange County neighborhood, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
Sheriff’s deputies found one victim with multiple stab wounds in the 11000 block of Rancho Santiago Boulevard at 10:50 p.m., said Lt. Jerry Carlson.
He was transported to UCI Medical Center.
A second victim with a chest wound was dumped at Chapman Hospital, then transported to Western Medical Center where his traumatic injuries could be better treated, Carlson said.
Both victims were undergoing surgery early Monday, and their conditions were unknown, he said. They were described as Hispanic men, and their names were not released.
Carlson said there were up to 15 Hispanic men involved in the fight, according to witness accounts phoned into the sheriff’s department.
By the time deputies arrived, only the one victim remained at the scene, he said.
The investigation will continue, Carlson said.
