The third and final in a series of insightful and entertaining lectures will be given by Russell Steinberg, popular composer/conductor/educator/LA Phil Upbeat Live lecturer on March 8.

During this evening, the audience will learn about Mahler’s Symphonic World and Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.

Steinberg will also perform as well as lecture about the Brahms’ Intermezzos.

“Brahms gave the title “intermezzo” to his most personal and intimate piano pieces,” Steinberg said.

“Most are rarely performed, yet they are all, masterworks that offer a compelling contrast to the aesthetic so well defined by Chopin.”

The evening costs $15 per person and will be held Tuesday, March 8 from 7-9:00 p.m.

It will be held at Milken Community High School located at 15800 Zeldins’ Way (at Mullholland Drive), Los Angeles, CA 90049.
