TV Land Picks Up ‘Hot In Cleveland’ For Third Season, Orders 22 Episodes
TV Land announced today that Hot in Cleveland will return for a third season, with 22 episodes to begin shooting this summer.
The sitcom, which is filmed in front of a live studio audience, remains the highest-rated and most-watched series in the history of the network.
One of its stars, Betty White, recently won a Screen Actors Guild Award for her work on the show, which also stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.
“The chemistry that this cast has with each other is undeniable so we are excited to bring Hot in Cleveland back for another season,” said Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land.
Hot in Cleveland revolves around three close friends from Los Angeles — novelist Melanie Moretti (Bertinelli), eyebrow archer-to-the-stars Joy Scroggs (Leeves) and former soap star Victoria Chase (Malick) — who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing.
The friends decide to stay in Cleveland and start over together, renting a house that happens to come with a very opinionated caretaker (White).
