Coroner’s Office Identify 51-Year-Old Man Shot In Palmdale
The coroner’s office today released the identity of the 51-year-old man shot to death in Palmdale.
He was Anthony John Simiele, whose city of residence was unknown, Lt. Joe Bale said.
Simiele’s estranged girlfriend, Diane Asbury, 48, was arrested on suspicion of murder and was being held on $1 million bail, authorities said.
The shooting happened at about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday in the 38800 block of Calistoga Street, Capt. Mike Parker of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau said.
Simiele was pronounced dead at the scene.
Asbury called authorities and said she had just shot her estranged boyfriend at her house, Deputy Lillian Peck of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau said.
She was waiting outside when deputies arrived.
