“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Couple Settle Dispute with Ex-Nanny
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Adrienne Maloof, her estranged husband, plastic surgeon Paul Nassif, and a former household employee have settled the ex-worker’s labor lawsuit.
Deanna Cesena filed suit April 27 against the couple and Maloof Entertainment, alleging failure to pay overtime, not providing meal and break times and not providing earning statements.
An attorney for Cesena told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon on Thursday that the case was resolved. No terms were divulged.
According to the suit, Cesena began working for the couple in 2005 and that her regular work hours were from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 p.m. Thursday. She took care of the children, cleaned, drove, did household work, washed clothes and ran errands for Maloof, the suit stated.
Cesena also drove Maloof to appointments and made phone calls for her, the suit stated. She alleged she worked more than 12 hours daily and more than 40 hours per week.
Cesena alleged she was compensated with a flat rate per week with no overtime until September 2011, when she began being paid a proper amount with overtime. However, she was fired last Nov. 19, according to the suit.
Cesena sought recovery of unpaid compensation and attorneys’ fees.
Maloof and Nassif are in the middle of a bitter divorce and custody battle regarding their three children.
