‘Universal’s Legacy of Horrors’ Concluding Tonight with ‘Phantom of the Opera’

Carla Laemmle, age 103, a dancer and niece of Universal Studios founder Carl Laemmle, film historian/preservationist Kevin Brownlow and Lon Chaney’s grandson Ron are scheduled to attend as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences screens “The Phantom of the Opera (1925),” concluding its “Universal’s Legacy of Horrors” monthlong series of classic horror films.
