Los Angeles Gas Prices Drop For 12th Straight Day
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 12th consecutive day — a streak that began after nine straight days of increases — decreasing 1 cent to $4.053.
The average price has decreased 6.7 cents over the past 12 days and is 4.6 cents less than one week ago and 1.6 cents lower than one month ago but 21.9 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price rose 8.2 cents during the nine-day streak of increases that preceded the dropping prices.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.035. It is 4.9 cents less than one week ago and 1.6 cents lower than one month ago but 22.1 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has decreased 6.8 cents over the past 11 days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.
