Beverly Hills News – High Winds and Heat Create “Very High Hazard Severity Zone” in North of City

Please be advised that current and expected weather conditions, as well as other pertinent factors, have created a severe fire danger in the northern section of the City of Beverly Hills designated as a “Very High Hazard Severity Zone”. The Fire Department has activated our “Red Flag” program and has placed an additional Engine Company in service at Fire Station #2, located at 1100 Coldwater Canyon Drive.

Additionally, parking has been restricted for evacuation and fire department access along predetermined streets above Sunset Blvd., as listed below:

Calle Vista Dr.

Schuyler Rd.

La Altura Rd.

El Retiro Wy.

Miradero Rd.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions and other factors throughout the day, and will deactivate our “Red Flag” alert when the increased fire danger has subsided.
