Beverly Hills News – Beverly Hills Elder: Bram Goldsmith, 91, Businessman, Philanthropist

It was a different world when Bram Goldsmith, City National Corp. chairman emeritus, first came to Beverly Hills in 1953 with his wife, Elaine, and two young sons and took up residence in a small home on Rodeo Drive that his in-laws rented for them.
“My first night in the house I looked out the window and saw horses cantering down Rodeo – that was my first impression of Beverly Hills,” he recalled of the historic Rodeo Drive bridle path, which officially closed in 1958.
