Beverly Hills News – Board of Education To Take On Uniforms in Schools; Hire Interim Facilities Director

Tonight at 7 p.m., the Board of Education will meet to discuss a myriad of topics, ranging from approving a $16,500 monthly contract for an Interim Director of Facilities through consultant Tim Buresh’s company, PrimeSource Consulting, to El Rodeo K-8 adopting uniforms in an effort to curb bullying and increase academic achievement.

Other topics of interest include: Hawthorne Principal Kathy Schaeffer, Horace Mann Principal Steve Kessler and Beverly Vista Principal Christian Fuhrer updating the board and community on education strategies and successes, such as Hawthorne’s recent distinction as a “California School To Watch;” the hiring of three $11.04/hr Beverly Hills High School athletics coaches; and the hiring of a $3,036-a-month BHHS security officer.
