Beverly Hills News – Beverly Hills Mourns Former Police Chief B.L. Cork

The Beverly Hills Police Department is sad to announce the passing of former Police Chief B.L Cork on March 30, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Chief Cork began his career with Beverly Hills in 1947 and served as Police Chief from 1971-1975. Chief Cork was preceded in death by his wife, Mazie, in 2011 and is survived by his son, Richard Cork.

During his tenure, Chief Cork established the first Public Safety Communications Facility in the region which provided quicker responses to citizens’ call for service. Retired Sergeant Tom Edmonds remembered Chief Cork as a “Cop’s Cop” and a true leader that cared for the community he served for many years.
