This little-bitty kitty, Miss Snuggle (ID#A1540893) is a “tortie” and gray tabby. She is about 4 years old and weighs about 8 pounds.

“Tortie” describes a color similar to tortoiseshell, combining two colors other than white, mixed or in patches.  The colors are often red and black but can be orange, yellow or cream combined with grey, tabby or blue.

A Tortie like Miss Snuggle is called a Torbie – combining the tabby pattern as one of its colors.

Some believe that Torties have unique personalities – though the color is across breeds. Torties are said to be very good communicators, feisty and unpredictable. The result is often referred to as “Tortitude.”

Miss Snuggle has been waiting at the shelter since March 14 for her new home. Is it with you?

Ella (ID#A1540715) is a little brown and tan terrier mix. She is about two and a half and is only about 19 pounds. She has been waiting for two weeks as well.
