Beverly Hills News – artSHOW Winners Announced Under Blue Skies On A Perfect Day

The Beverly Hills artSHOW couldn’t have had a more perfect weekend. Despite the foreboding clouds that threatened with rain, the days remained clear, a little breezy and extremely pleasant for the event. 

Art lovers and families strode peacefully through the venue, enjoying a myriad of fine work representing every kind of media.

Over 240 artists exhibited artwork representing eleven media in Ceramics, Drawing and Printmaking, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media – 2D, Mixed Media – 3D, New Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Watercolor.  Best of Show, Gil Borgos Award for Originality, Best Display of Art and First Place winners in each media are:

Nearly 50,000 art lovers from near and far came out to the two-day outdoor event; some attendees came from as far as China.  The popular event attracts regulars like a couple that comes from Toronto every Spring and Fall.  “The Beverly Hills community members are large supporters of the bi-annual event and we thank them for their loyalty,” said Karen McLean, BH artSHOW Director.   

The 2015 artSHOW’s sponsor and media partners included: David Frank Design luxury swings, the LA Weekly, the Los Angeles Art Association, Fabrik Magazine, LA Art Party, Yelp, Whole Foods Market, Paley Center for Media, and the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitor’s Bureau.  Food and Beverage support come from Premiere Events and Beck’s Beer.  The show’s charitable partner is Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and its sister organization, Healing Art with Kids.

The Beverly Hills artSHOW is a bi-annual event that takes place every Spring and Fall and is produced by the City of Beverly Hills.  The Spring Beverly Hills artSHOW will take place Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.    General Show hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Spring and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Fall.   All activities occur at the historic Beverly Gardens on Santa Monica Boulevard from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive.  Admission is free.
