Beverly Hills News – Rodeo Drive Holidays Start Sunday Lighting Up the Palm Trees

Posted: Friday, November 20, 2015 – 3:53 PM

The much-loved kick-off event for the holiday season in Beverly Hills begins Sunday when the Rodeo Drive Committee hosts The Beverly Hills Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Rodeo Drive.

Everyone is invited at 6 p.m. when actor, writer and jazz vocalist Molly Ringwald opens with a musical performance and an upbeat, immersive light show choreographed to a custom holiday mix by famed DJ Michelle Pesce and special guest Debbie Allen will delight everyone with a dance preview of “The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker.”

The annual event takes place on the 200-block of Rodeo Drive and is open to the public. The highlight of the ceremonies will be the lighting of the palm trees on Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive.

No holiday event would be complete without Mr. and Mrs Clause and the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band. Both will make their entrance in style! (Editor’s note: Last year, Santa was found scaling the side of the Luxe Hotel, so keep an eye out!)
