The City of Beverly Hills is accepting applications from January 1 to January 28 for Community Assistance Grant Funding to be awarded for the 2016-17 Fiscal Year.
The grant funding is for providers of services vital to the health and welfare of the local and regional community.
The applicant must provide a service that meets a community need, including social services, community health and education and must be, or partner with, a 501(c)3 organization.
Applications should be returned completed in person or postmarked no later than Thursday, January 28, 2016, by 5 p.m. to the Beverly Hills Human Services Department at City Hall.
Community Assistance Grant Funding supplied $740,000 from the City in FY 2015-16 for several different organizations. Some past recipients include Step Up on Second, Maple Counseling Center and Jewish Family Services.
This year, applications will be reviewed by the Human Relations Commission and Charitable Solicitations Commission. A recommendation will be sent to the City Council, and they will decide the dollar amounts and recipients.
