One of the hottest indie rock bands today, the Foals, gave a truly intimate performance for KCRW’s Apogee Sessions where 200 fans enjoyed a terrific 10-song set in a setting with perfect acoustics.
The event, held at the private Santa Monica recording studio, Apogee Studios, featured an interview by KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley which was later broadcast on the radio. Bentley, who hosts “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on KCRW, talked with lead vocalist/guitarist Yannis Philippakis and guitarist/keyboardist James Smith on what the future holds for the five-member band from Britain.
The verdict: the best is yet to come.
