Beverly Hills News – BHPD Capture Serial Auto Theft Suspects

The Beverly Hills Police Department apprehended two of three auto burglary suspects Thursday when they were caught in the act. The BHPD issued the following press release Saturday:

On July 28 at approximately 6:15 p.m. BHPD received a call of an auto burglary in progress in the area of Olympic Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. 

A witness observed a red Honda SUV pull up on Rodeo Drive south of Olympic Boulevard and a M/B suspect got out and smashed the window of a blue CLK Mercedes Benz and removed a bag.

Responding officers observed the suspect vehicle fleeing the area and a pursuit ensued. As the vehicle fled, the suspects were observed throwing property from the vehicle. 

The pursuit terminated in the area of La Cienega Boulevard and Horner Ave. with three suspects fleeing on foot.

Two suspects were immediately taken into custody and a third was able to elude capture. 

Further investigation revealed that these suspects were responsible for multiple auto burglaries and were driving a stolen vehicle. 

Arrested for burglarly were Gerardo Calderon age 37 of Los Angeles and Nataly Semas age 20 of Los Angeles.

The investigation continues to identify the third suspect.
