Beverly Hills News – Christiansen’s Latest Verdict Nears Day In Court Of Appeal

In a 101-page response brief filed Friday, attorneys for Karen Christiansen, the former Beverly Hills Unified School District Chief Facilities Officer, argued that she and her company were not subject to the reach of Government Code Section 1090, like other district employees, because she was being paid as a consultant. Students in City Government – This year’s Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) was introduced to the Recreation and Parks Commissioners at their meeting Tuesday

TAC members  Adriel Ghadoushi, Alex Melamed, Ariella Andout, Eli Ramer, Emma Newman, Hanna Levy, Joseph Gluckman, Julia Kamara, Julia Tabatabai, Liam Cox, Matthew Smoller, and Natasha Melamed with Recreation and Parks Commissioners Frances Bilak (chair), Susan Gersh (vice chair), Robert Anderson, Simone Friedman and Howard Rosoff, along with City staff Tim Duerr and Jennifer Leuning. TAC encourages Beverly Hills students, grades 6-10 who are residents or enrolled in the Beverly Hills Unified School District, to take an active role in local government.
