Beverly Hills News -City Council Scoffs At Amendment To Allow Ancillary Additions To Commercial Businesses

The City Council on Tuesday barked back at a suggestion by the City’s Planning Department to approve an amendment that would have allowed businesses in the City’s commercial zones an expedited process for adding ancillary uses to their business.

The amendment was presented in conjunction with a request from Pet Food Express, a pet goods store at 9153 Olympic Blvd. The retail store, which primarily sells food, treats and other pet-related items, sought to create what City staff called an ancillary use of a pet wellness center.
