Burn the Mortgage – Beverly Hills Synagogue paid off its mortgage last Sunday at a gala banquet at The Beverly Hills Hotel

Members and friends matched a $1 million donation from philanthropists George and Irina Schaeffer, eliminating its $2 million mortgage. The gift means the synagogue is now debt-free for its membership.
