Art Collector Eugenio Lopez Hosts Reception For Artist Enrique Martinez Celaya Benefitting Project Angel Food

Contemporary art collector Eugenio Lopez recently opened his mid-century modern Beverly Hills home for an intimate reception for the internationally celebrated L.A.-based artist and sculptor, Enrique Martinez Celaya.
Guests enjoyed food prepared by celebrity chef Kai Loebach and had the opportunity to purchase a limited edition signed and numbered print of Celaya’s lithograph on Coventry Rag Paper — “The Mark 2017.” One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Project Angel Food.
For the first time in its 28- year history, the organization now has a waiting list of 100 people, urgently in need of food.
Guests included actress Diane Keaton, art collector/philanthropist Beth Rudin Dewoody, producer/director Harold Becker and his wife Susan, former board member and model Faye Moseley, Dr. Otella Owens, Dr. Carol Delilly, John Martens, Angel Art Chairman Michael Maloney, bests-selling author John Livesay, entertainment business manager and former board member John McIlwee, former board chair Robert Bauer, board members Joe Mannis (Hersh Mannis) Lisa Arasheben (Jason of Beverly Hills), Tim Robinson (London Suites), David Couper (David Couper Consulting) and Andre Dawson, (Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills).
The evening raised $50,000 for the nonprofit.

Project Angel Food’s mission is to feed and nourish the sick, by delivering medically tailored healthy meals throughout L.A. County to men and women living with life threatening illness. The original premise was to feed people living with HIV/AIDS and has now expanded to include men and women living with cancer, diabetes, kidney failure and congestive heart disease.
Project Angel Food has provided more than 10.5 million meals free of charge, since its inception and continues to prepare more than 10,000 meals a week. More than 98 percent of the clients are living well below the poverty line. Client demographics are 40 percent Latino, 30 percent African-American, 21 percent Caucasian, 5 percent Asian and 4 percent other.
