Beverly Hills High School Students Ryan Dubin and Jonah Okum, the 2017 California State Skills USA Community Service Champions, were recognized by the City of Beverly Hills last month in connection with their Skills USA community service work, a program known as “Bedtime with Books – Books and Projects in a Box.”

Each themed Bedtime with Books box provides everything a school or organization needs to host a story time for elementary students.  The BHHS Skills USA chapter has provided 25 boxes, impacting more than  600 students.

This coming weekend Dubin, Okum and team member Bridgette Fussman will be headed to Louisville, Kentucky for the 53rd annual National Leadership and Skills Conference, a week-long showcase of career and technical education students, involving over 16,000 students, teachers, and business partners from around the country.
