In emails that went out this evening to Beverly Hills Unified School District employees and Beverly Vista families, Superintendent Michael Bregy announced that effective Monday, Jan. 8, Chris Regan and Chris Hertz would be Beverly Vista’s interim principal and assistant principal, respectively.

“I’m writing to inform you that Mr. Fuhrer and Ms. Para are on administrative leave from our district,” Bregy stated in his email. “I hope you can understand that we are prohibited from commenting on individual personnel matters which require confidentiality and privacy.”

Interim Principal Reagan takes on his new role with the district midway through his freshman year as one of three assistant principals at Beverly Hills High School. Interim AP Hertz has spent more than five years working for the district as its Director of Student Services.

Bregy’s announcement that Beverly Vista Principal Christian Fuhrer and AP Alyssa Para were being placed on administrative leave comes in the wake of an investigation by Beverly Hills Police into alleged on-campus sexual assault at Beverly Vista.
