The incoming mayor and vice mayor will be formally elected by the presiding City Council for one-year terms at the start of March 20 meeting.

The installation ceremony is free and open to the public and will be held at 7 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, 8949 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills. The City bears no cost for using the Academy facilities. Free parking is available in nearby structures.

The mayor and vice mayor positions are elected each year by the City Council; the vice mayor traditionally becomes the mayor. Councilmembers are elected at-large to four- year terms.
