Come sit with me for awhile and see what I’m bringing to the table …

“Blood Moon” lunar eclipse was one phenomenon that those of us in the USA were not fortunate enough to see — sooo as a consolation for missing this amazing event — I decked out the backyard for a true southern California fiesta. The table in the first photo, designated the buffet-server, held my tasty goodies. As my salute to the lunar moon colors, I dressed the table with shades of reds, sprinkled with touches of oranges.

Next came the dining table, seen in the second photo. To balance the in-your-face red buffet table, I moved on to shades of orange. Orange, mixed with Mexican patterned textiles that I intertwined and threw across the table. Yup I did say “threw across.” Oh plllleease loosen-up people. This is not a sit-down formal affair.

Then the rest of the layers were added. With accents of turquoise and blue, this table shouts. “it’s time for a fiesta!” Okay, sooo I just happened to have orange chairs available. lol! Serendipity, ‘schmerendipity’, nope. Planned? Yep! Helllo, please be kind to this messenger. Thanks. Yes, of course I heard you don’t have orange chairs, red textiles, table cloths etc. Improvise, that’s the fun of creating.
