The latest Tom Cruise “Mission Impossible” movie enjoyed a second weekend at the top of the box office race, with $35 million in weekend sales projected Sunday.

The Paramount picture was expected to have accumulated $124.5 million in North American sales over its 10 days of release ending late Sunday evening, according to studio estimates gathered by comScore. It’s the sixth movie in the series, and was outdoing all five predecessors, analysts said.

A pair of premiering movies held the next two spots: “Disney’s Christopher Robin” at $25 million, and “The Spy Who Dumped Me” at $12 million in estimated weekend sales.

With a $9 million gross this weekend, “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” had a fourth place finish this weekend. It had $91.3 million banked over three weeks.

“The Equalizer 2” was just behind, in fifth place. It was estimated to have an $8.8 million weekend, good enough for $79.9 million over three weeks.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular movies in the United States and Canada this weekend, as estimated by the studios and gathered by comScore, were “Hotel Transylvania 3” ($8.2 million), “Ant-Man And The Wasp” ($6.2 million), “The Darkest Minds” (premiering at $ 5.8 million), “Incredibles 2” ($5 million) and “Teen Titans Go! To The Movies” ($4.9 million).
