“I have an opportunity to go to Israel for a few months and study with my favorite teachers over there. And that’s where I’m going to go and probably move somewhere there and study with my favorite teachers,” Barr responded. according to The Times.

“You know, I have saved a few pennies and I’m so lucky that I can go,” she said. “It’s my great, great joy and privilege to be a Jewish woman.”

Barr said if she were to stay in the U.S., the show and its anticipated media response might “tempt” her to say something controversial, especially if she “has too many drinks.”

Barr was booted from the show during its 10th season after making racist comments about Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to President Barack Obama. Barr blamed her outburst on Ambien.

Barr said she’ been focusing on new projects in recent months, including a record she recorded in Nashville and a new sitcom she’s writing.
