The first Wednesday of October is National Coffee With a Cop Day and the Beverly Hills Police Department is joining in.
“The Coffee with a Cop program was created as an outlet to help build conversations and relationships between law enforcement and the community. It provides a friendly environment for one-on-one interaction, develops positive dialogue, opens sharing of information and opportunities for joint problem-solving community issues. In the spirit of this annual event, we are letting the community become aware of the national day and to reach out to a Beverly Hills Police Officer,” said BHPD’s Clara Choi.
In that spirit, officers will be more available throughout the City to spend a moment to chat with the public about what is on their minds.
Then, on Oct. 13, the BHPD will celebrate the annual Cops, Cars and Coffee event, where residents and car enthusiasts can bring it on with a cuppa jo. That event will be held in the 9300 block of Civic Center Drive from 8-10 a.m. and everyone is welcome.
Beverly Hills celebrates “Police and Community Together” as fundamental to the health of the community. Tomorrow, if you see a police officer, invite that officer to coffee!
