Higher Education Notes—Local Students Named To Honor, Dean’s And President’s Lists

Rebecca C. Adler of Beverly Hills was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, St. Paul.

Adler is a senior in the college of liberal arts.

 To qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 GPA.

Sophia Smith of Beverly Hills was named to the Dean’s Honor List at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio for fall 2018.

Students named to the list must maintain a 3.75 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Smith in majoring in nursing.

Four Beverly Hills students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Named to the list were

• Morgan Botko, College of Letters and Science

• Hannah Kekst, College of Letters and Science

• Brittany Mathalon, School of Human Ecology, and;

• Jonathan Tansey, College of Letters and Science

To be eligible for the list, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits that semester.

Two Beverly Hills students received honors the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.

Alyssa Bean was named to the Dean’s List and Hunter Lambert was named to the President’s List.

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have an academic record of 3.5; for the President’s List  a student must have an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

Lauren Aviram of Beverly Hills was named to the fall 2018 Dean’s List at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa.

To earn thr academic achievement, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the term.

Eric Brook of Beverly Hill was named to the fall 2018 dean’s list at Tufts University Medford/Somerville, Mass. for the fall 2018 semester.

Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Spencer Ohlbaum of Beverly Hills graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. in December.

Ohlbaum earned a bachelor of business administration in marketing.
