MONTAGE OPENS — The long-anticipated Montage Beverly Hills will open Monday with 201 guest rooms, three restaurants, spa, pool and lounge on North Canon Drive.

The long-awaited debut of the first new luxury hotel to be built in the City in more than 16 years will occur on Monday (Nov. 17) with the public opening of Montage Beverly Hills.

City Manager Rod Wood told The Courier yesterday that he has asked all city departments, including police, fire and paramedic departments, for contingency plans to reduce expenditures by 10 percent.  In addition, Wood has suspended hiring for new positions and has asked all city departments to reconsider priorities in new hires.
