Roseanne, one of the biggest TV comedies of the 1990s, is set for a comeback on ABC later this year, Deadline reports.
The entire cast, including Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Sarah Gilbert, Johnny Galecki and Laurie Metcalf, are on board to return for the eight-episode reunion.
Roseanne was a long-running comedy that focused on the Conner family who barely scraped by living in a small town in Illinois.
ABC was Roseanne’s original home when it ran for nine seasons in the 1990s.
There is no date set yet for the return, and it is not yet known how certain storylines, such as that of John Goodman’s character Dan – the patriarch of the family who died of a heart attack in the season finale – would be explained.
The finale episode of Roseanne aired on May 20, 1996 and drew 16 million viewers.
