Yesterday, Jack Black showed his support for the second annual Make March Matter campaign, benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). He volunteered at Third Thursday, a special service and volunteer day.
During his visit, Black spent time playing games with young patients at their bedsides and chatting with their families. He also put his love of music on full display when he joined in on a few infants’ Music Therapy sessions.
At the end of the day, 8-year old patient and designer Sasha Bogosian gifted him a personalized denim jacket from her collection, The Sasha Project, which raises money for the hospital’s arts program.
The month-long Make March Matter initiative aligns the hospital with local businesses across Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley to rally community participation to support children’s health. More than 100 local businesses and corporate partners are offering customers opportunities to raise money for CHLA through everyday activities such as drinking coffee, going shopping, eating out, exercising, or getting a blowout.
