A fire and an explosion at a welding business in South Los Angeles today resulted in the partial collapse of the structure, and left at least two people injured, authorities said.
Firefighters sent to the 900 block of East 59th Street shortly before 7 a.m. extinguished the flames in 25 minutes, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The conditions of the injured people were not immediately known.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was being tallied.
