Plush Ultra Lounge, Beverly Hills’ only nightclub and its adjacent Bar 210, featuring cuisine by Top Chef Alum Marcel Vigneron, open this weekend in a 7,000 square-foot-space at The Beverly Hilton.

What most people adore about living in Los Angeles are  rooms with rich colors accentuated by contemporary fixtures, hidden enclaves in an already masked locale serving teasingly delicious bites coupled with habit-forming cocktails, that mix all the right elements to create the perfect spot after dark.

Unfornutely, this was not something an Angeleno would find in Beverly Hills, until now.

Plush and its adjacent lounge, Bar 210, open Saturday at the Beverly Hilton on the corner of Santa Monica and Wilshire boulevards, operated by Diabolical Nightlife Associates (DNA).

DNA is owned by Rodney Franks and Dan D'Agostino, who have launched and managed nightclubs in Las Vegas, produced hundreds of special events and live performances.

A day before its soft opening on Thursday, I was given an exclusive opportunity to tour Plush and Bar 210 with DNA’s spokeswoman Rachel Krupa.

The 7,000 square-foot space has undergone aesthetic upgrades in the past few years to best utilize it as a private event space. It was the site for the Weinstein Golden Globes party this year.

Entering through Bar 210’s doors, my eyes were immediately drawn to the elaborate handmade ball chain gold chandelier in the center of the room hung above a long cocktail table.

Designer Thomas Ford creates a sultry ambience for Bar 210 through his use of lavish plum, black fig and byzantium for his fabrics that are accompanied by Spanish goat hair pillows.

Mimicking the gold leaf embedded on the tabletops is a glass-like leaf skeleton aligning the left wall of the lounge. Off the main room of the lounge is a private area with its own DJ meant for VIPs.

Equally as salivating as the interior is the pairing of its menu by Chef Vigneron.

Vigneron, a celebrity chef featured on Bravo’s Television Show Top Chef, is creating for Bar 210 what he has dubbed a menu of modern global tasting. This includes small, moderately priced plates of such delectables as pork belly sliders, mushroom tart and tiger prawn ravioli.

Ford’s sultry ambience spills over to the lounge’s nightclub next door, Plush. There is a separate entryway for Plush on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Beverly Hills’ only nightclub, Plush will host a DJ in a custom designed sound system, European bottle service and an outdoor patio area with a fire pit. Chain graphics laminate the walls that are juxtaposed to antique gold medals. The mixtures of texture form to create an environment that is everything “plush.”

Bar 210 is open Monday-Saturday from 5 p.m.-2 a.m.; Plush is open Thursday –Saturday from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
