After 13 years of leading the world’s most popular female surf retreat in Bali, Surf Goddess Retreats is putting on winter gear and heading to the northern alpine slopes of Hakuba, Japan, where Snow Goddess Retreat will open in January 2015.
Home to the 1998 winter Olympics, Hakuba boasts nine mountain resorts, and over 200 groomed runs and 139 chairlifts. The Japanese Alps are also world famous for the quality and depth of fluffy powder snow which falls in great abundance each year.
The retreat includes the option of daily ski or snowboarding instruction for every level, as guests break into smaller instruction groups, along with full access lift passes so guests have all the freedom to explore over 200 runs with friends and retreats guides.
Alongside the ski/snowboard program, included in the package are trips to traditional Japanese hot spring Onsen baths, in-house yoga and guided sightseeing experiences to visit the iconic bathing snow monkeys, visit a Sake brewery and Zen temples.
In addition to offering a world class mountain holiday, the retreat atmosphere allows women to join together from all over the world in a warm, fun and supportive group environment set in an inviting private Japanese style Ski Lodge that includes its own yoga space.
