At Tuesday’s special board meeting, the Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education voted 5-0 to extend its current $9.7 million Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Beverly Hills for another two months, until Oct. 31. This marks the second time the board has approved a two-month extension of the JPA, which was set to expire July 31.
The City and the school district are currently working to fine tune the details of the contractual agreement whereby BHUSD makes its facilties and fields available to the City for its programming needs.
