A Beverly Hills man charged with immigration fraud was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in prison.
Hee Sun “Leonard” Shim, 54, of Beverly Hills, and other co-defendants allegedly owned four Southern California schools that enrolled foreign nationals who fraudulently obtained immigration documents that allowed them to remain in the country as “students.”
The problem, however, was that those “students” rarely ever attended school.
