The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the City of Beverly Hills are celebrating Small Business Saturday, a national campaign that promotes shopping small and shopping local for the holiday, by doing a very special Walk with the Mayor to visit some of Beverly Hills’ businesses and to show their support, and the public is invited!
The Small Business Saturday celebration includes a rally at 9 a.m. in Beverly Canon Gardens with breakfast treats, Small Business Saturday Swag, announcements by Mayor Lili Bosse and more.
At 10 a.m., guests are encouraged to join Mayor Lili Bosse for a special Small Business Saturday edition of Walk with the Mayor. The Mayor and Beverly Hills shoppers will visit local shops and stops to show their support of the Beverly Hills business community.
Walk with the Mayor Small Business Saturday will trace a path through town that includes visits to Le Mervetty, Pussy and Pooch Pet Lifestyle Center, Edelweiss Chocolates, Cafe Gratitude, Alfred Coffee and Nate ‘n Al Delicatessen, encompassing some of the City’s oldest businesses, as well as the newest.
Le Mervetty, home of the original Merveilleux concept, was introduced to Beverly Hills in 2012. A French Patisserie, they serve delectable Merveilleux, Macarons & Milkshakes. Located on Canon Drive, their sidewalk ice cream tables invite customers to enjoy the marvelous creations inside!
The flagship Beverly Hills Pussy and Pooch destination is the first of its kind for pets, combining chic design with a unique collection of amenities and services. This isn’t just a pet store, it’s a complete lifestyle experience for your cat or dog, from full service pet grooming and wellness, to luxury products and pet couture, to expert training and an exclusive Social Club with overnight dog boarding.
Edelweiss Chocolates has been a Beverly Hills tradition since 1942. As one of the oldest confectionaries in America that still process its chocolates by hand, Edelweiss has enjoyed a unique history in one of the world’s most famed zip codes. Edelweiss (Candy Round-up at the time) started producing its handmade chocolates at its current Beverly Hills factory during the Golden Age of Hollywood and became an instant hit with Hollywood royalty. From Frank Sinatra (whose favorite chocolates were the Maple Creams) to Nancy Reagan, Lauren Bacall and Katherine Hepburn (who wrote in her autobiography, “Me,” about the Dark Chocolate Turtles).
Chef Dreux Ellis oversees the development and execution of the 100% organic, plant-based menu at all Café Gratitude restaurants in Southern California. Since 2012, when they opened in Venice, their health-based, flavor-driven cuisine has resonated with diners. This year, Gratitude opened in Beverly Hills and it has become one of the premier destinations for diners throughout the City.
Established in 1945, Nate ‘n Al has a long and wonderful history. A tradition of serving delicious meals while bringing together great friends and honoring one simple commitment: to serve the finest deli favorites prepared with the best ingredients.
Afred Coffee, featuring Jeni’s Ice Cream — cold brew floats and affogatos, opened months ago and has been packed ever since. Their fine coffees, food offerings, location and great service have already become an important part of Beverly Hills. Originators of the slogan, “But First, Coffee,” it is easily the first stop in the morning for a delicious brew.
So bring your credit card and let the holiday shopping begin! Just wear good shoes and be ready for another Lili Bosse adventure!
