This week, the internationally-acclaimed Walk with the Mayor will make two very impressive stops with Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse, visiting the newly-arrived pret-a-porter couture de Paris of The Royals and one of the world’s most regal jewelers, Harry Winston, celebrating industries that have made Beverly Hills a preferred retail address for over 50 years.
“Also the ‘60 minutes’ TV show of France is coming to film our walk that morning! This will be a very special Monday !!!!!,” wrote Mayor Bosse in a Facebook post.
On the heels of the gala celebration Runway to Rodeo, celebrating the historic rise of fashion and luxury retail on the City’s storied street, Walk with the Mayor once again penetrates the legend that is also the neighborhood.
You are invited to celebrate the grand opening of The Royals Paris with their staff and Mayor Lili Bosse at a special ribbon cutting ceremony!! The ribbon cutting will be the first stop on the Mayor’s weekly Walk with the Mayor. Hicham Benslimane, designer and founder of The Royals, and Fay Rivier of Paris, bring their unique designs to Beverly Hills for the first time. The pair opened their doors weeks ago, bringing haute French fashion, live models and a Vive La France mode to Canon Drive!
Few jewelry brands have such an illustrious history as the House of Harry Winston. Founded in New York City in 1932, by Mr. Harry Winston – an innate gemologist, an intuitive businessman, and a dedicated philanthropist – the brand continues to set the standard for the ultimate in fine jewelry and high-end watchmaking. Known throughout his life as the “King of Diamonds“, and the “Jeweler to the Stars“, Mr. Winston’s innovative design philosophy – in which the individual gemstones, rather than the metal settings, would dictate each design – helped to revolutionize fine jewelry designs, and remains at the cornerstone of a timeless aesthetic that continues to inspire all Harry Winston creations. From the acquisition of some of the world’s most famous gemstones, including the Jonker, Hope, and Winston Legacy Diamonds, to adorning generations of famous faces, from Hollywood legends to international Heads of State, for over eight decades, the Harry Winston name has been synonymous with the best that there is. Today, the House of Harry Winston continues its tradition of creativity, rarity, and quality without compromise in its retail salons around the world, including New York, London, Paris, Geneva, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai – and Beverly Hills.
Walk with the Mayor is a unique initiative, the brainchild of Mayor Lili Bosse, part of her Beverly Hills Health City initiative, making Beverly Hills one of the healthiest cities in the world! Walk with the mayor and City staff in a casual environment in which participants can discuss matters they are concerned about directly with their top elected official and take a healthy walk through the neighborhood as well!
Bonding with the Mayor is only part of the experience. Walkers meet and talk with their neighbors, community members and key City staff while connecting with the business community and learning about the City, its resources, art, parks and places of interest.
Healthy City means a healthy mind-body-soul – and business community, and Walk with the Mayor connects all those dots!
To join the Walk with the Mayor, meet at the steps on the Crescent Drive side of City Hall at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to have a lot of fun!
“Monday is my favorite day of the week,” says Mayor Bosse, and she proves that every Monday is the start of a new week with a new adventure! Post your photos at #BHHealthyCity!
