Beverly Hills Board of Education VP Brian Goldberg is expected to be voted in as president of the board at tonight’s organizational meeting. He will take over the office from President Noah Margo. Boardmember Howard Goldstein is expected to be voted in as the new vice president.
Goldberg emphasized that the board as a whole is the decision-making body and that the president’s role is largely procedural.
“A successful president of the Board of Education helps facilitate the smooth operation of the Board meetings and ensures issues and concerns are addressed in a timely and organized fashion,” he said. “If elected today, I hope to continue the successful job President Margo has done this past year.”
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the STC/Jon Cherney Lecture Hall at Beverly Hills High School.
