Beverly Hills resident and superstar Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is apparently the victim of a burglary at his Beverly Hills home.
The Beverly Hills Police Department reports that there is an active burglary investigation for a burglary reported Nov. 28, which occurred between Nov. 21 – Nov. 28. Sources say that Mayweather has been in China. BHPD reports that he was not at home when the burglary occurred.
Stolen items include luggage, sunglasses and accessories.
Mayweather paid $26 million cash for a 15,000-square foot home in September, previously owned by Dean Metropoulis, who sold it in 2014 for $15.5 million to developer Nile Niami. The mega-mansion developer turned it into one of his contemporary mash-ups, calling it a “French Modern Estate,” adding all the bells and whistles. Not exactly the kind of welcome mat Beverly Hills is famous for, the BHPD have asked that anyone who may have information about the burglary contact the BHPD Detective Bureau at 310-285-2158.
The professional boxer and boxing promoter has just opened early enrollment in his flagship Mayweather Boxing + Fitness on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The studio features Mayweather’s favorite training tools, and offers members group fitness, training programs, boxing, personal training, youth boxing, and an assortment of his most effective workout tools to enhance member’s workouts. The studio will officially open for business in January.
