After one month as president of the Board of Education, Howard Goldstein returned his borrowed role to Brian David Goldberg tonight at the formal Board of Education meeting.
“I support the change; not really the change, but going back to what we were before,” said Student Boardmember Josh Shenk, who seconded last month’s motion to make Goldstein president after Goldberg announced he was temporarily stepping down as president – following his arrest for alleged battery.
On Tuesday, Goldberg alleged that not only did Beverly Hills police violate his Miranda Rights, but he was also being targeted by Police Chief Dave Snowden because he spoke out against the Chief’s relationship with BHUSD security provider, EBi.
“To the community, I want to say unequivocally, that I am innocent,” Goldberg said Tuesday night.
All boardmembers, with the exception of Goldstein (who abstained) voted in favor of returning Goldberg to the position of president.
