Beverly Hills is seeking submissions for nominations for the 2016 Embrace Civility Award to honor outstanding individuals or groups who demonstrate through actions that create positive, lasting change in the community.
The Embrace Civility Award program was founded by the City’s Human Relations Commission to promote positive human relations in the community life of Beverly Hills. The program was started in 2010 when the commission established the importance of embracing civility and integrated the principles of civility, respect and responsible action into daily business at City Hall and municipal proceedings.
The award celebrates a community member who exemplifies attributes that include:
- Acting as a role model for positive civic behavior
- Taking a stand in support of respect and responsible action
- Promoting positive neighbor to neighbor relations
All nominees will be recognized by the Human Relations Commission. Winners will be recognized by the Beverly Hills City Council.
To nominate, download a form at www.beverlyhills.org/embracecivilityaward. Forms are available at City Hall in the Community Services Department and at Roxbury and La Cienega Park. Nominations can also be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail through September 30.
