Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market celebrated the fourth annual Picklefest Sunday where contestants were vying for the title of “Best Pickle in Beverly Hills.”
The prize in the “I Can Pickle That” category went to Bouquet Veprin for her pickled chayote and First Place for the “Best Dill Pickle in Beverly Hills” went to Michael Fox.
The distinguished (albeit pickled) judges included Recreation Services Manager Brad Meyerowitz, Recreation and Parks Commission Chair Frances Bilak, Owner of Nate ‘N Al’s Delicatessen Mark Mendelson, and last year’s “Best Dill Pickle” winners from the Beverly Hills Heart Helpers 4-H Club Isabella and Nicoletta Zucaro.
Winners received a $200 gift certificate to Nate ‘N Al’s Deli, who graciously sponsor this event.
This marks the Farmers’ Market 22nd year anniversary in Beverly Hills. The weekly event provides the finest in fresh California-grown fruit and vegetables and a good measure of fun as well in a festive outdoor setting.
