Noted film producer and distributor Jack H. Harris, 98, died Tuesday in his Beverly Hills home.
The Philadelphia native was born Nov. 28, 1918 and began his nine decade show business career as a vaudeville performer at the age of seven. Upon his high school graduation, he became an usher for a theater circuit in Philadelphia and five years later was managing 16 theaters for the same circuit, winning a national exhibitors’ contest that included a trip to Hollywood and an onset visit to a film starring Judy Garland.
