An incident that began when a resident phoned in a report of hearing broken glass and tires screeching ended without apprehending the suspect(s) in a residential burglary in Beverly Hills Monday evening.
The 300-block of South Swall Drive was cordoned off by police vehicles Wednesday evening at about 10:30 p.m. as police sought containment of the area. An LAPD helicopter circled above. Residents were instructed to stay inside their homes while police searched the area with canines. UCLA PD was also called to help in the search.
Many residents were celebrating on the first night of Passover.
Police ended the search at approximately 3 a.m.
