Walk with the Mayor, Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse’s acclaimed Healthy City initiative, takes a ‘BOLD’ step forward tonight, with a walk through the business triangle during the extended shopping hours, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Crescent Drive steps of City Hall.
Typically a Monday morning trek, tonight’s special Thursday evening walk will begin at the familiar Crescent steps of City Hall, walkers will visit Planet Blue, where Bohemian has been a way of life since 1994. It’s vintage-inspired, beachy aesthetics at the open air, Beverly Drive store is a fabulous trend-setting addition to Beverly Hills. Planet Blue carries a full line of women’s clothing, accessories and swimwear.
Next stop is B.H. Poke, the food sensation that is sweeping the City. Poke is a delicious, healthy raw fish salad from Hawaii, served as an appetizer or a main course. Sourced on the island of Ni’ihau, where only Hawaiians may reside and it is the only language spoken, this delicious adaptation of traditional Japanese cuisine is made with tuna (Ahi), octopus, salmon, albacore and other shellfish mixed with Maui onions, sea salt, avocado, green onions and limu. B.H. Poke rocks the traditions, serves Poke tacos, brown rice bowls and sweet potatoes with a tofu option Add toppings of mango, seaweed, fish roe, jalapeno, pineapple, Edamame, cucumber, toasted coconut and black sesame seeds and you will see, this is special. Other options include panko-crusted fish and hand-cut fries, so there is something for everyone.
Next stop is Anne Michelle Beverly Hills, the one-stop shop for Casual Couture & Gifts. “There’s something so special about shopping at Anne Michelle,” said Carly S. of Beverly Hills. “It’s an intimate shopping experience and the owner actually cares about you looking your best.” Known for customer appreciation, this little boutique fusses over all their clients. Curated clothing that brings the best style to the forefront, combined with the best service. That is Anne Michelle’s trademark.
Finally, the walk will end at Two Rodeo, one of the City’s most famous social media photo-stops.
BOLD is Mayor Bosse’s plan for the future of Beverly Hills, changing the culture of rolling up the sidewalks at 6 p.m. by making the City an evening “happening” not to be missed.
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening shops will stay open until 8 p.m. through the month of August. The buzz about BOLD is being felt throughout the City and – telegraphed through social media throughout the world. Check out the stores and restaurants participating in special deals through the month, and see what activities are planned each weekend. Fashion thought-leaders and social media trendsetters will be tweeting away; live models will be wearing the juice from the City’s famous Rodeo Drive flagship stores; luxury auto dealers will offer test drives in the finest cars; live music and DJs will rock the streets, and food vendors will be scattered throughout with tables and chairs to sit and people-watch on the most famous street in the world.
Be there or miss a chance of a lifetime to walk the Golden Triangle with Mayor Lili Bosse Thursday, 6 p.m. at the Crescent steps of City Hall.
